For Anxious Patients
We understand that many people get anxious and stressed if they even think about going to the dentist. No matter why you feel this way—a bad experience in the past, fear of shots, drills, or pain, concerns about safety, or even embarrassment about how long it’s been since your last dental appointment—we want you to know that we’re here to support you. We are not judgmental about why you haven’t been to the dentist; we will never criticize you. We simply want to help you receive the dental care that you want and need.
Many patients tell us that it is the care and attention they receive from our dental team that makes their experiences in our office truly remarkable. Walk into our office and you can just sense each team member’s friendliness, warmth, and very real concern for your health and well being.
There's nothing like listening to music that you enjoy to make your dental experience better. To help your time in the dental chair go faster, we offer an Apple iPod Touch along with wireless access so you can listen to your own custom-made radio station on Pandora internet radio. High-quality, noise-cancelling headsets make this a truly unique experience.
Our staff is warm and welcoming, and we will do everything we can to put you at ease. We’ll discuss your concerns and develop a plan for treatment that can help you feel more comfortable. We might suggest nitrous oxide or sedation dentistry to help you get through your treatment successfully.
Please give us a call if you have dental phobias or dental anxieties. We can help!
Imagine getting the dental care you need while you rest peacefully in a comfortable chair. Even better, you feel no pain, no anxiety, and no stress!
It really can be that easy with the help of sedation dentistry. You simply take a small blue pill at the office before you are seated. (You’ll need someone to drive you to and from your appointment.) You’ll doze lightly through your treatment, and chances are that you won’t even remember your time in the chair.
Our patients who are dental phobic or who need extended appointments tell us that sedation dentistry has really made a difference in their feelings about dental care. Please call our Lake Mary dental office if sedation dentistry sounds appropriate for you.
Nitrous oxide can be a good choice for patients who don’t need or want the deep relaxation of sedation dentistry or for those who must return to work or other responsibilities immediately after their appointment. You’ll still feel calm and have a sense of wellbeing during treatment, but since the gas disperses quickly from your system, you’ll be able to drive yourself home and resume your regular activities right away.
